  • Dr. Kendra Kaufman
    Veterinarian
Kendra Kaufman graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Her father is a veterinarian, so Kendra knew from an early age she would follow in his footsteps. She followed her father around the clinic as soon as she was able to walk and started working there soon after. Dr Kaufman has been working in Central Arkansas for ~16 years. She did move to Memphis in 2010 to manage and operate a veterinary practice, but after 2 years she missed home and chose to move back to Arkansas.
Dr Kaufman has a strong interest in feline medicine and feline friendly practices. She also enjoys canine and feline medicine and surgery, and has a strong desire to find solutions for challenging pet illnesses. She excels at managing pets from pediatric care all the way up to senior concerns.
Dr Kaufman has a large family in Russellville and Oklahoma that she loves to spend time with. Her three brothers and sisters and seven nieces and nephews keep her very busy on the weekends. They are active in 4-H and Kendra helps with the pigs, goats, rabbits, chickens, and ducks that the kids raise for the show ring. Kendra also has a very demanding tabby cat named Kenna that she shares a home with.
  • Dr. Amy Hawley
    Veterinarian
Amy Hawley graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004.  While she was born and raised in North Carolina, she has lived and practiced medicine in Central Arkansas for over 20 years.  Dr Hawley treats dogs, cats and exotics.  Her special interests include laser surgery, small mammals, and fish medicine.  In 2004 Dr Hawley completed the first surgery on a pet fish in Arkansas!  In 2010 she was voted the “Best Veterinarian” in Sherwood by the Sherwood Times Readers Choice poll.
At home, Dr Hawley is kept busy with a menagerie of pets, including: two rescue mutts, one ball python (30 years old!), two goldfish, and a rescued and endangered asian box turtle.   In her free time she enjoys traveling, camping (in an RV!), minor league baseball, and reading. Her husband, Chuck, is an attorney with the Department of Health, and they have two kids: Matthew and Lily. Matthew and Lily enjoy scouting (yes, Lily is a Boy Scout!), and wrestling with the Little Rock Wrestling Club. They are all active members at Bible Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
